We live in a world obsessed with achievement. Many of us pursue job or corporate success at the price of family, relationships, health, and spirituality. We don't realize that success cannot be separated. When one aspect of your life fails, the others will sooner or later follow suit. You must strive for balance if you want to be successful in life, not just in your work.

The good news is that you may achieve greater balance in your life by implementing seven simple daily habits:

1. Start your day with prayer or meditation

Achieving balance in your life begins with your personal decision to modify the way you live. Your mindset and discipline are required to make it happen. That is why attaining balance in your life necessitates a strong core. If you don't like yourself, your surroundings, or what you do, chances are you won't like the rest of your life either.

Make it a practice to begin each day with prayer or meditation. Morning prayer or meditation makes you feel like you're more than you think you are, that you can accomplish more than you think you can, and that there's more to life than what you're now doing. Connect with yourself, get to know yourself, affirm yourself more, and realize that you are intended for more.

2. Be fully present when you’re with your family

The most frequently mentioned aspect of work-life balance is family life. A wonderful family life is the peak of establishing work-life balance. After all, it is your family that will be there for you through thick and thin. Some friendships will fade once everything is said and done, but your family will stay.

Begin by making a difference in your own family before moving on to the rest of the world. Increase your quality time with them. Breakfast is served with them. Make an effort to be more physically and emotionally present in their lives. Do one action with your family today in which you are completely immersed. Yes, you can make a great difference in the lives of others, but start small by making a difference and being more active in the lives of others.

3. Reach out to one person you already know

A solid network may assist you spread the word about your organization in business. It also allows you to do additional tasks. In your personal life, a strong network may help you flourish in a variety of areas. This is another method for achieving equilibrium. You may learn from others, broaden your viewpoint, and even stretch your life goal by growing your network and making strong relationships.

Contact at least one person you already know every day. It is often simpler to begin broadening your network with someone you already know. Inform that individual of your plans and ask if there is anything you can do to assist him or her. Then, ask that individual if he or she can assist you in any way, even if it's just spreading the word about what you're doing. People are more willing to help than you realize. Asking for assistance also fosters trust. To keep the conversation going, ask if he or she can refer you to someone who can assist you.

4. Spend fifteen honing your expertise

Computing was a passion for Bill Gates. Basketball was Michael Jordan's passion. It was theoretical physics for Albert Einstein. What did these three successful gentlemen have in common? They were aware of their strengths.

If you want to be successful in life, you must excel in one thing. It's preferable to excel in one thing while failing at everything else than to be mediocre at everything.

Spend at least fifteen minutes each day honing your existing skills. Spend fifteen minutes reading articles on websites like Problogger if you're like blogging. Spend fifteen minutes researching the newest marketing tools and trends and reading sites like Seth Godin's if you're skilled at marketing. If you're good at sports, go ahead and practice! Whatever you do, make an effort to improve every day.

5. Do something creative

Even if the left-brain, right-brain dominance idea has been debunked, the world nonetheless elevates left-brain tasks like logic and measurement, while "right-brain" activities like artistic endeavors suffer. Nowadays, most professions need analytical thinking rather than creative thinking. Many individuals dismiss artistic endeavors as unrealistic and abandon them.

You should pursue artistic endeavors regardless of your employment. Create a strategy to gain more clients, get more tasks done, offer more items, and develop your business whether you are employed or own a business. Take note of how your blood pressure rises and your adrenaline rushes. Only "right-brain" or creative activities have such influence on our life. More significantly, only through creative endeavors can you broaden your vision and rethink what's possible in your business and in life.

If you're more of an artist, try your hand at sketching, painting, playing music, creating music, animating, writing a tale, or even establishing a blog! It aids in restoring equilibrium and adding color to your life after a long, monotonous, "left-brain" dominating day.

Don't rely just on your analytical "left-brain."Use your "right-brain" as well when creating.

6. Take a 30-minute walk

The first five things you should do every day are for emotional, relational, and personal success. But, in order to attain and appreciate all of your triumphs, you must also excel in your physical health. If you're ill in bed, you can't appreciate the accomplishment you've worked so hard for.

Make it a point to get active every day. After every hour of sitting, take a 30-minute walk, go to the gym, take Zumba classes, or even stretch for 10 minutes. Simply get yourself moving! Physical exercises have several benefits and may be performed in a variety of ways. Find what works for you and stick to it. Small, continuous activity always trumps one great effort followed by a catastrophic crash.

7. Do one thing to reach out, give back, or pay forward

We've all heard the saying, "It takes a village to raise a child." Whatever triumphs you are now experiencing, you did not earn them on your own. Your parents, your family's history and background, varied situations, the individuals you met, and "angels" you encountered along the road all provided you with unique possibilities. Success is more than just a personal accomplishment. Many chances to achieve are also provided for success.

Unfortunately, not everyone was afforded the same possibilities that you were.

If you're reading this, you're probably living a more fortunate life than many others who don't even have access to the internet. Be that glimmer of hope for someone today. Be the "angel" who gives that individual the same chance you had. Whatever you do to help, whether it's via education, business, or financial assistance, remember that what you're providing someone is a chance to succeed.

Helping someone does not have to be significant right immediately. You may begin by just reaching out and offering that individual the opportunity to find emotional support in you.
